Hill Cumorah Pageant
Address: 603 State Route 21 Palmyra, New York 14522
Schedule: July 8–9, 12–16   The pageant starts at 9:15 p.m. and lasts until about 10:30.
Things to do: Watch the Pageant based on The Book of Mormon.

The Hill Cumorah is a small hill located in western New York, USA. Here the Book of Mormon prophet named Moroni hid the gold plates containing some of the records of the Nephite and Jaredite nations. Joseph Smith Jr. was directed to this hill in 1827 by the resurrected Moroni to get the gold plates and translate a portion of them. This translation is the Book of Mormon.

The Hill Cumorah Pageant is one of the world's great outdoor theatrical productions. Each July, seven evening performances are presented on the beautiful Cumorah hillside next to the Visitors' Center. A beautiful story on an enormous 10 level stage, twelve-tower lighting, state-of-the-art sound system, Hollywood special effects, and a costumed cast of over 650 provide a truly spectacular show.  There is a dress rehearsal on July 7th.

Why I want to go here: I want to go here because it is an important place in the history of our church and because it is a very interesting sounding pageant.
